How to play
Everything you need before your first game, in 7 steps.
The goal
Build the best team of cards by outbidding your friends.
Everyone starts with the same budget, 30 by default. Cards come up one at a time, and nobody knows the next.
The scoring grid
Every card is scored out of 100 on the game's criteria, by their weights.
Scores stay hidden until the end. Read the grid before you bid.
Here, a quiet scorer can beat a star who rarely scores. An auction
In turn, bid more than the standing bid, or pass. You have 30 seconds.
Once everyone else has passed, the last bid wins the card.
Bidding below zero
Bids run from −10 to your budget. Below zero, you get paid.
When you're the only one left on a card, it's 0 at least.
A card taken at −4: your budget goes from 12 to 16. Passing
Passing takes you out of the auction on this card, for good.
If everyone passes, the card goes unsold, but the deck may hold a few spare cards. Once they're gone, a slot stays empty and scores 0.
Teams
5 slots with up to 4 players, 4 with 5, 3 with 6. The host can change that.
A full team stops playing.
The end
When every team is full or the deck runs out, the scores come out. A team's points are the sum of its cards' scores.
Most points wins. Leftover budget doesn't count.
